The changes that are perceived by the optic light are used to detect the movement that has occurred rather than sensing the motions of the ball itself. A pointing device known as LED optic sensors & digital signal processing are utilized in optical mice in order to achieve pointing accuracy. Because there is no possibility of a mechanical malfunction or of collected dirt in the mouse, which could hinder movement, the existence or optical light is an extra advantage. This is because there is no mechanical light. Because an optical sensor takes snapshots of the surface of the workpiece and identifies changes as it is moved, using one is easier if the surface is as smooth as possible. This is due to the fact that an optical system works by detecting when it is being moved. Surfaces with imperfections cannot be sensed by the mouse and will therefore impair its movement. Damage to the optical light can also be caused by a surface that is rough. The default DPI for optical mice is 800, but this number can be increased based on the requirements of the mouse. Due to the exceptionally high level of precision required, gaming mice can have up to 12,000 DPI.

The wireless mouse:
The wireless mouse’s  capacity to allow communication without the usage of cords is largely responsible for its meteoric rise in popularity in recent years. The absence of cables allows for unrestricted mobility, and the fact that these mice are optical means they have a heightened level of sensitivity. Infrared radiation and Bluetooth signals are utilized in the transmission of data by wireless mice, and a USB port is used to facilitate the connection of the mouse’s receiver to the host computer. USB receivers are all that are required for modern wireless mice. A wireless mouse needs to come with its own driver software, which should be able to be installed immediately once the mouse is connected to a computer through its USB port. In most cases, a wireless mouse is sold in conjunction with a wireless keyboard, and the two devices share the same receiver.
